Josh Cutler, MSW, LICSW
Josh Cutler is a man with a particular set of skills. His approach has been honed over 20+ years of working in healthcare as a clinician and executive. He has held leadership roles at Premera Blue Cross’s Kinwell Health, Providence Swedish, Sound Behavioral Health, and Alpha Supported Living Services, among others. He has been recognized with awards from the Swedish Medical Center Staff, the WA State Governor’s DD Council, and the WA State Society for Clinical Social Work.
A lifelong resident of the pacific northwest, he grew up on South Whidbey Island and later graduated from The Evergreen State College in Olympia, WA. He attended the University of Washington for a Master of Social Work, with the dream of becoming a licensed clinician.
Josh founded Gemini in 2021 and continues to serve as the Behavioral Health Director, in addition to seeing clients for psychotherapy, consulting, and coaching.
A licensed independent clinical social worker since 2015, Josh is qualified to provide psychotherapy to youth and adults and clinical supervision to pre-licensed therapists. Josh has broad experience with most issues from his time in community mental health, primary care behavioral health consultation, and many years of private practice. At this time his practice is focused on mood and anxiety disorders, burnout, and neurodivergence.
Josh also provides consulting to organizations developing behavioral health or long term care programs. He provides executive coaching to physicians and other healthcare professionals.
He is the author of a bestselling memoir and has a forthcoming book in pre-publication. He also produces a men’s mental health podcast. He is a passionate advocate for social justice, focusing primarily on disability rights.
He has traveled all over the world but settled near extended family in the northern suburbs of Seattle. He lives with his college sweetheart (and wife of 20+ years), two school-aged daughters, and an energetic doodle named Hank. He calls his mother and his many siblings a lot.
